The cAMP Hunter SSTR3 Gi cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. somatostatin 28) based activation of SSTR3 GPCR activity via detection of decreasing levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wild type SSTR3, a naturally Gi/Go coupled GPCR. Upon activation of SSTR3, the decrease in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to a decreased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. STDisc™ Salmonella typhimurium strains for use in the bacterial mutagenesis assay described by Maron & Ames, Mutat. Res. 113: 173, 1983. Most commonly employed bacterial strains for use in mutagenicity testing are provided in convenient lyophilized disc format. Strains are periodically characterized and verified for diagnostic performance. Confirmed strains are lyophilized in modified ATCC Reagent 18. After preservation, samples are cultured and their phenotypes and responses to diagnostic mutagens are determined.
